Maple Leaf Ontario Distribution Centre Celebrates One Year With No Lost Time Accidents

BURLINGTON, Ontario – Maple Leaf Consumer Foods
announced today that its Ontario Distribution Centre located on 5100 Harvester
Road in Burlington, has achieved 365 consecutive days without a lost-time
accident.

“Safety is a top priority at Maple Leaf. We take our
obligation to provide a safe workplace very seriously.” said Rick Young,
President of Maple Leaf Consumer Foods. “Ultimately, safety in the workplace
requires cooperation and commitment to make it happen. I would like to
congratulate everyone at the Ontario Distribution Centre on this achievement.”

The Ontario Distribution Centre employ’s 71 people. It
distributes Maple Leaf Consumer Foods’ products including hot dogs, sliced
meats, bacon and frozen foods throughout Canada.
