Hamilton's Top Dogs achieve 365 days with no lost time accidents

HAMILTON, Ontario – Maple Leaf Consumer Foods announced today that its dedicated wiener processing facility, located on Brockley Drive in Hamilton, has reached 365 days without any lost time due to accidents.

"We put a lot of emphasis on safety and training," said Cliff Caldwell, Plant Manager. "We hold safety meetings on a monthly basis and are constantly looking for ways to improve our workplace. This achievement is the result of cooperation and positive attitudes towards safety from the Hamilton team."

The Hamilton wiener operation employs 160 people and produces all Maple Leaf hot dog products sold in Canada, including Shopsy’s, Maple Leaf Top Dogs, Maple Leaf 100’s and Burns.
