Richard Kruse has found his pot of gold!

Edmonton, AB - Richard Kruse has struck it lucky and won himself a trip for two from Maple Leaf Foods.  The Edmonton, Alberta man entered the Maple Leaf Consumer Foods Corned Beef Brisket St. Patrick’s Day Sweepstakes and came out a winner.  On July 12, Kruse was selected from over 8000 entrants across the country, who entered the contest by mail, or online at www.mapleleaf.com.

The contest ran nationally from February 21 to June 30, and was designed to increase consumer awareness of Maple Leaf’s Corned Beef Brisket.  Kruse has been awarded a certificate for $3500.00 to use on the trip of his choice.

“Corned Beef Brisket is very popular for St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s a delicious, easy to prepare meal for any time of the year.  We hope Mr. Kruse enjoys his trip” said Maria Melo-Boone, marketing manager.

Kruse is considering using the certificate to take his best friend Inger to Denmark.  “She has family there that she hasn’t seen for some time.”
