2 tbsp (30mL)
Soft butter
1 tbsp (15mL)
Chopped chives
1 tbsp (15mL)
Chopped oil packed sun-dried tomatoes
DEMPSTER’S® OvenFreshTM White or Multigrain Baguette
¼ (50mL)
Crumbled Asiago cheese

Directions
PREHEAT oven to 400°F (200°C).

COMBINE garlic, butter, chives and sundried tomatoes in a bowl.

CUT vertical slits in the baguette almost to the bottom and place on a baking sheet; spoon the butter mixture over the top of the baguette making sure to get the mixture down inside each cut.

TOP the baguette evenly with Asiago cheese; bake for 8 minutes or until cheese is softened and baguette is hot and crisp.

TIP: Place prepared baguette on foil. Heat on barbeque, using indirect heat, for 8 minutes or until cheese is softened and baguette is hot. For quicker preparation replace butter, garlic, and chives with ready prepared garlic butter.

BBQ TIP: BBQS with 2 Burners: PREHEAT barbeque grill to high by turning on both burners. TURN off one burner and lower heat of second burner to medium. PLACE baguette directly on the grill where the burner has been turned off. Cook with lid closed for 5 minutes. Turn baguette over and cook with lid closed for an additional 3 minutes. For barbecues with 3 burners follow directions above turning off one burner after preheating and placing bread directly on grill over the burner that has been turned off.
