Simon Wookey is President of Maple Leaf Fresh Prepared Foods, a Business Unit of Maple Leaf Foods Inc.

Appointed to this role in 2009 Mr. Wookey brings over 20 years experience developing the Fresh Prepared Foods market in the UK and is responsible for leading a cross-category approach to become a total fresh meals solution provider to Maple Leaf customers.

Prior to joining Maple Leaf Foods, Mr. Wookey led Greencore North America’s strategy to create a multi-million dollar US chilled food operation.

Previously Mr. Wookey has held senior leadership roles as Commercial Director of J&J Transfield, a fresh sausage producer, President of Hazlewood Foods Chilled Ready Meals Division, President of Greencore’s Sauce and Soups division and more recently President of the world’s largest sandwich business which produced over 4 million sandwiches every week.

Mr. Wookey holds a Bachelor of Science from Aston University. His interests include jogging, tennis, swimming and mountaineering.
