Réal Ménard

President, Canada Bread Frozen Bakery

Réal Ménard is President of Canada Bread Frozen Bakery, a business unit of Maple Leaf Foods Inc.

Mr. Ménard was appointed to his current position in April 2007. He joined Maple Leaf Foods upon the Company acquiring Multi-Marques Inc. in 2001 as Vice President & General Manager, Quebec/Atlantic and subsequently led the successful integration of this large bakery into Maple Leaf Foods. In 2003, he held the position of Executive Vice President with Canada Bread Fresh Bakery where he led a very successful network of 23 bakeries, and the more than 200 distribution centres and depots that form Canada’s leading bakery. Mr. Ménard has brought his strong operations experience and a diversified sales and marketing background to his leadership role at Frozen Bakery.

His career in the North American bakery industry spans over 30 years, during which time he has acquired significant hands-on operating experience in Canada, the United States and France, including broad industry contacts and valuable customer relationships. He worked his way to senior management roles, through positions earlier in his career at Culinar with Vachon snack cakes in Canada and Drakes in the U.S., and previously at Nabisco with Christie Brown in Canada and Belin in France.
