Lynda Kuhn

Senior Vice President, Communications, Maple Leaf Foods Inc

Lynda Kuhn is Senior Vice-President, Communications for Maple Leaf Foods. In this capacity she has executive responsibility for the Company’s corporate and investor communications, philanthropy, and public relations.

Lynda joined the Company in 2002 as Vice-President of Investor and Public Relations. Prior to joining Maple Leaf, Ms. Kuhn managed a consulting practice specializing in crisis communications, branding and change management. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice-President, Public Affairs at Philips Services Corporation. In this position, Ms. Kuhn was responsible for all aspects of corporate and employee communications, investor relations, marketing communications, change management and crisis communications.

Her previous work experience also included five years as Executive Director of the Richmond County Industrial Commission in Nova Scotia, and seven years working on a Miq’Maq native community in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. In these roles, Ms. Kuhn was extensively involved in community-based economic development, industrial promotion, government relations and developing and implementing social and education programs.

Ms. Kuhn received a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and a Master of Arts degree (Anthropology) from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. Lynda has traveled and volunteered in Kenya for many years, and founded a home and education project in western Kenya that cares for children ages 3 to 17 whose families have been devastated by disease.
